As a child I was super shy – often very tense and afraid. I remember being nervous to pick up the phone to order pizza.
As a teenager, I fell in love with theater and the call of the stage helped me to overcome many of my fears. Playing other characters taught me how to express myself more freely.
In my early twenties I moved to New York City to pursue my acting dreams – only the intense pressure, fear and stress I felt at auditions really got in my way.
As I began to look for ways to remedy the panic and stress I often felt, I ended up on a completely different career trajectory. At first, looking for ways to feel better, I took class after class. Through a process of trial and error — discovering what works and what doesn’t — I found simple ways to release stress and experience a more joy-full life.
Eventually I felt drawn to share what I had learned with others…

In my quest for a joyful life, I’ve attended a great many workshops, seminars, intensives, etc. Over the years I’ve amassed quite a collection of certifications from the various trainings I’ve completed. The ones that apply most to the work I do now are:
